Workshop Description:
Are you excited about Jesus? Are you ever blown away by things Jesus said and did in his day, and how applicable it is in our day and in your context?
This workshop will allow us all to spend time focused on Jesus in fun, exciting and relevant ways! It will help you draw connections to Jesus in ways that will aid your preaching, teaching, worship planning, pastoral care, ministries, and community engagement. You will hear how others view Jesus’ ministry as relevant to their context, and that will broaden not only your view of Jesus, but also your view of “your neighbor,” thereby allowing you to generate new ideas for ministry. Focusing on Jesus in this way truly provides a framework for “the Body of Christ!” We’ll use scripture, storytelling, current events and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to remind us of the works of Jesus and how they inform who we are as pastors and how to face the challenges before us. Join me to get excited about Jesus all over again, then go and share this excitement with your congregation!
